2nd year Fellow, Infectious Disease

Madeline is originally from Annapolis, MD but considers NC home. She did her medical school at UNC prior to completing internal medicine residency at Christiana Care in northern Delaware where she was struck by the individual, hospital system and societal level impacts of the opioid epidemic and IV drug use. She became fascinated by the intersection of addiction and infectious diseases, and how care can be improved for this vulnerable population. She returned to UNC for infectious diseases subspecialty training and will also be completing an addiction medicine fellowship next year.
