Aim
Aim: Improve timely access to post-emergency department (ED) discharge ambulatory follow-up care for renal colic patients by:
1.Standardizing risk-adjusted ED discharge protocols
2.Establish/streamline access to internal medicine/urology clinics
Outcome Measure:
- ↓ rate of potentially avoidable ED revisits
- By ↓ time to ambulatory follow-up from 50 to 20 days for patients being discharged from Hillsborough and Main EDs with a diagnosis of renal colic by September 30, 2024.
