About

Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She began her nursing career at The Forest at Duke Continuing Care Retirement Community, where she discovered her passion for caring for older adults and developed a deep appreciation for the relationships built in geriatric care. Rachel transitioned to UNC in 2021 and has spent the last several years on the Heart and Vascular Acute Care Unit, caring for patients across North Carolina and further strengthening her commitment to care for individuals as they age.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, cooking and enjoying great food, hiking in beautiful places, and spending time with her husband and sweet fur babies.
