About
Dr. Volertas’ focus in clinic is on IgE-mediated disease, such as environmental allergies (allergic rhinitis), urticaria (hives and swelling), anaphylaxis, and food allergy. Additionally, she sees patients with immune dysfunction. She has a personal interest in integrative medicine, and enjoys seeing adolescents and young adults in particular as they transition to adult care. Dr. Volertas also has a strong presence in medical education, an interest in wellness, and is a leader in telehealth. Key areas of interest within telehealth focus on teaching communication skills, “webside” manner, & professionalism.
