MHI Co-Director Victoria Bautch, PhD, receives NIH Outstanding Investigator Award

Victoria Bautch, PhD, has been awarded $6.5 million from the National Institutes of Health and the National Heart, Blood and Lung Institute. The award will enable the Bautch Lab to study the molecular and cellular control of angiogenesis, a naturally occurring process responsible for the formation and growth of blood vessels. New NIH grant for Liu Lab

Jiandong Liu, PhD has received a $2 million research grant from the NIH for his project “Molecular regulation of ventricular chamber maturation.” In September 2017, he received one year of funding from the NIH for a related project. The new funding demonstrates the NIH’s continuing commitment to supporting Dr. Liu’s research.
