Congratulations to Anna Wheless, a biochemistry and biophysics graduate student, who received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology from the University of Houston–Downtown, a member of Dr. Neher’s lab since April, 2020, studying the inhibition of LPL by ANGPTL4, for being featured as a science writer for the 2020 NC DNA Day.
Anna did a great job as a science writer for the NC DNA Day program, title “Portrait of a protein: How far we’ve come.” She describes super-powerful microscopes and how far the field of microscopy has come since the days of Antonie van Leeuwenhoek.
