Gallippi, Ph.D., Professor, Joint University of North Carolina (UNC)/North Carolina State University (NCSU) Department of Biomedical Engineering; Affiliated Professor, NCSU Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Adjunct Professor, UNC Department of Radiology, for being named William R. Kenan, Jr. Distinguished Professor in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC-Chapel Hill and NCSU.
Dr. Gallippi has served as a faculty member since the early founding of the Joint Department in 2004. She is an internationally recognized trailblazer in ultrasound elasticity imaging, having developed groundbreaking techniques, such as Viscoelastic Response (VisR) and Double-Profile Intersection (DoPIo) ultrasound.
