Congratulations to Mia Klein and Hussein Kassam, postdoctoral fellows in Dr. Kibbe’s Lab, in collaboration with Erica Peters, Ph.D., and Jess Rouan, M.D., both also in the Kibbe Lab, for publishing paper, titled “Development of Optimized Tissue-Factor-Targeted Peptide Amphiphile Nanofibers to Slow Non-Compressible Torso Hemorrhage”, in the journal ACSNANO.
With their McAllister Heart Institute (MHI) collaborators in the Bergmeier Lab, they showed that nanofibers targeted to tissue factor could specifically localize to the site of injury following systemic intravenous administration. The work, led by Mia and Hussein, is featured in the June 23, 2020 edition of ACSNANO and can be read online now.
