Congratulations to the Lab of Matthew J. Flick, Ph.D., Member of McAllister Heart Institute; Associate Professor of Pathology, UNC Blood Research Center, for publishing paper, titled “Mice expressing nonpolymerizable fibrinogen have reduced arterial and venous thrombosis with preserved hemostasis”, in the journal Blood.
The work from the Flick Lab’s team documents how a nonpolymerizable fibrinogen can protect against thrombosis without compromising hemostasis. It was featured on the cover of Volume 143, Issue 2, January 11, 2024 of Blood and designated a Plenary Paper by the journal. The paper can be read online now.
