Lauren Lorenzi is a fourth-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from Charlotte, NC. Lauren is currently studying for her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and has minors in Chemistry and Spanish for the Medical Professions. She began her undergraduate research career at UNC in August 2021 with BARLab, a part of the UNC Center for Alcohol Studies. In July 2022, she began working in the lab of Prem Lakshmanane.
Lauren also works at UNC Health, where she is a Clinical Support Technician I at the Main Neuroscience Hospital. She is also the Lab Coordinator of the UNC Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC) clinic. Lauren hopes to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or Nurse Practitioner and conduct research to identify and implement new ways to improve standards of patient care.
