Molly Zimmermann is a second-year student at UNC-Chapel Hill studying Biology with a minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions. Her research experience began in the Tarantino Lab of the UNC Department of Genetics, where she worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant during the summer of 2022. While there, she gained important experience with mouse handling, PCR, and gel electrophoresis, and she collaborated with some amazing researchers, too! Molly hopes to further explore the world of research, specifically in the area of immunology, to someday work for the CDC or NIH.
