Opportunities to Support BioSTAR
Alumni Guest Speakers
In addition to monetary support, we welcome participation of alumni and community scientist to visit campus to talk about their own career path and to network with students.
For more information, please contact Patrick Brandt, PhD (PDBrandt@email.unc.edu), Director of Career Development and Outreach.
Alumni and Community Donations
We welcome alumni and community members as partners in our mission. Donations allow us the BioSTAR Office to expand our support to more students.
We prepare scientists for the biomedical workforce by offering career training and professional development in addition to the cutting-edge research and discoveries they make in their labs. Your investment helps us to provide holistic preparation for a variety of careers in industry, non-profits and academic research.

Additional Opportunities for Companies
Companies can access UNC PhD level talent by hosting a site visit at their research facility or workplace. On-campus information sessions or panel discussions are also popular among trainees exploring career paths. These sessions give a company the ability to share general information about the industry and specifics about their organization and current openings.
For more information, please contact Patrick Brandt, PhD (PDBrandt@email.unc.edu), Director of Career Development and Outreach.
