School of Medicine Resources
- Zoe Silverman is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a therapist within the embedded counseling program at UNC’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). In this role, she works exclusively with BBSP students to support them with their mental health. (for graduate students)
- Graduate Student Short-Term Emergency Fund (for graduate students)
- Carolina Cupboard at Bondurant Hall (for students, postbacs, postdocs, faculty, and staff)
- School of Medicine Tranquility Room, Roper Hall Room 2135A | Open daily from 7am-7pm (for students, postbacs, and postdocs)
- The UNC School of Medicine’s Tranquility Room is a dedicated wellness space open to all biomedical sciences, Health Sciences, and medical school students and postdocs designed to help you recharge, refocus, and find a moment of peace. This space is a quiet retreat from the rigors of academics, featuring comfortable seating, soft lighting, and calming resources such as mindfulness tools, coloring supplies, and guided meditation materials. In addition to serving as a relaxation space, the Tranquility Room is also available for prayer and spiritual reflection, welcome to all faith backgrounds.
- For badge access to the Tranquility Room, students are required to sign a Letter of Agreement.
