“Low-birthweight Infant Feeding Exploration (LIFE) study: An assessment of growth
and nutrition in India, Malawi, and Tanzania“
Dr. North is a third-year neonatal-perinatal medicine fellow at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Throughout her fellowship, she has primarily worked on the Low-birthweight Infant Feeding Exploration (LIFE) study, an observational study of the feeding and growth of low birthweight infants in Malawi, Tanzania, and India. She hopes to have a career focused on improving the health and survival of small and premature infants globally. After fellowship, she plans to continue her global health work as a faculty member in the Department of Newborn Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She currently lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and three children aged four and under.
