RAD-AID International, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that aims to improve radiology services for underserved populations around the world. Founded in 2008, RAD-AID works with colleagues at 53 institutions in 30 nations around the world and has over 10,000 multidisciplinary volunteers. As a non-state actor in official relations with the World Health Organization and United Nations, RAD-AID promotes sustainable solutions to disparities in healthcare by improving local human capacity development via education and by strengthening local economies.
