Resident Physician Global Health Travel Awards
Eligibility: UNCH Residents at any level of training who are approved by their Program Director for a minimum two-week global health rotation (four weeks strongly encouraged). Awards range from $500-$2,000. Applicants can be funded twice (max) from the OGHE for different global health proposals. Online applications and letters of recommendation submitted by the deadline will only be considered for funding.

Applicants must submit their funding application using the designated online APPLICATION FORM. We suggest you first download a word version to prepare your responses before submitting via the online form.
All required documentation must be submitted/uploaded in the online form except the recommendation letter(s) which should be emailed to oghe@med.unc.edu

OGHE Conference Fund Application
Accepted to present at a global health conference? The Office of Global Health Education may approve a reimbursement of up to $500 to help offset conference costs. Please apply before you attend the conference.
Eligibility: Acceptance to present or co-present a paper or a poster at a global health conference. Please submit the application form to the OGHE Assistant Director. Allow 30 days for your decisions. Annual funding is limited. Not all eligible applicants will be awarded.
Reimbursement Amount: up to $500
If selected: Within two weeks of your conference return date, submit all original travel expenses to oghe@med.unc.edu in the form of a cover page listing expense title and total amount equaling up to $500, copies of receipts such as registration, flights, hotel, and transportation attached.

Other Funding Resources
Dox Foundation provides grants of up to $2,000 for medical mission airfare. Grants are given twice a month.
