IJMT-Fogerty Global Health Fellows Program
The IJMT-Fogarty Global Health Fellowship supports mentored research training opportunities for promising postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students. Sponsored by the Fogarty International Center – as well as other institutes, centers, and offices at the NIH- our program provides stipends, research, and travel for 12 month research attachments. Trainees live and work full time at affiliated research sites in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Our consortium brings together four leading U.S. institutions and partnering institutions in 13 countries.

Yale and Stanford Johnson & Johnson Global Health Scholars Program
This established program offers rotations sites in South Africa, Uganda, Liberia, Indonesia and Rwanda. Selected residents may receive funding or participate without funding from the J&J Scholars program but still receive all other benefits.

Burroughs Wellcome Fund/ American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene
This fellowship provides funding for individuals to conduct research in tropical infectious diseases (and, on occasion, other clinical conditions unique to tropical medicine). It is designed to stimulate or sustain interest in research in tropical infectious diseases by individuals who are planning academic or other career paths ultimately focused on clinical research relevant to tropical or developing areas of the world.

Global Women’s Health Fellowship
This unique opportunity provides early career training for obstetrician-gynecologists (OB-GYNs) aspiring to an academic career in global women’s health. The fellowship leverages the strengths of the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine, the Gillings School of Global Public Health, and UNC-affiliated institutions in Zambia and Malawi to provide world-class training in clinical research and service delivery.
Global Health and Leadership Program in Emergency Medicine
The University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill Emergency Medicine, Global Health, and Leadership Program (GHLP) is a 24-month fellowship program offered conjointly by the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Gillings School of Global Public Health. The UNC Emergency Medicine GHLP is geared toward physicians who have completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program and have strong career interests in the development of Emergency Medicine as a specialty in developing countries.
Samaritan’s Purse Post-Residency Program
Samaritan’s Purse offers physicians and dentists a Post-Residency Program, which is coordinated through partner, World Medical Mission. The two-year Post-Residency Program enables Christian physicians and their families to serve overseas immediately following their residency or fellowship. The goal of the Post-Residency Program is to help encourage and prepare young doctors in all specialties to become full-time medical missionaries.

Applicants must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatrics or Medicine-Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Global Health Service Partnership
(August 2014)
The Global Health Service Partnership is accepting applications from qualified doctors and nurses for Global Health Service Partnership Peace Corps Response Volunteers. This program was launched through SEED Global Health in partnership with the Peace Corps and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR). The GHSP Volunteers will serve one year assignments as physician trainers and educators at institutions and affiliated health facilities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Applications for July 2015 deployments are open from May 19 to December 5, 2014.
Global Health Research Fellowship
The mission of the Global Health Research Fellowship is to train general internists for academic careers in global health research. The three-year fellowship includes field-based research, courses in research methods, and teaching and clinical service at Weill Cornell New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Partners in Health and Brigham & Women’s Hospitalist Program
