Drs. Emily Ciccone and Alyssa Tilly, UNC Med/Peds residents designed and ran a workshop on Pediatric global health emergencies for medical students and residents traveling on global health electives. This IRB approved educational project addressed caring for critically ill children in low resource settings, including malaria, malnutrition and respiratory distress. It was a great opportunity for supporting faculty, residents and medical students to work together in teams to be challenged and learn new skills.
