Areas of Interest

Interpretation of drug concentrations in forensic specimens can be complicated. To assist with medicolegal death investigation, analytical data that compares cases with incidental postmortem drug concentrations to cases with lethal concentrations can be important for future cause/manner of death determination. This provides guidance when rendering an opinion regarding the contributions of drugs to a potential overdose. My research also seeks to create a better understanding of toxic substances as they relate to infants, children, and adolescents.
