Li Qian, PhD, associate professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and associate director of the McAllister Heart Institute, has received the prestigious Emerging Investigator Award from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, a part of the NIH. The award includes $6.5 million in funding over seven years.
Li Qian, PhD, and Jiandong Liu, PhD, associate professors in the department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, have each won prestigious Established Investigator Awards from the American Heart Association for their separate research on how to heal damaged heart tissue.
