Graduate Research Assistant Dr. Feng Li Lab

Rebecca Ssengonzi is a PhD student studying the role of endothelin-1 in preeclampsia pathogenesis in Dr. Feng Li’s lab. She graduated with departmental honors from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular biology. Before her graduate studies she participated in a variety of research experiences involving neonatology, pharmacology, synthetic biology, coding, neurology, genetics, cardiology, and cellular biophysics. Having grown up in the Research Triangle, Rebecca was eager return to North Carolina after her undergraduate studies and contribute to the thriving culture of life science research here at UNC Chapel Hill. Outside of the lab she enjoys reading, going on walks, and trying new restaurants with friends.
