The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Alexei Mikhailov to the department. Dr. Mikhailov joins us with extensive expertise in renal pathology, transplant pathology, and cellular imaging.
Dr. Mikhailov received his MD from St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical Academy and his PhD in Cell Biology from Columbia University. He completed his first residency in St. Petersburg and a second residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has served in numerous academic leadership roles, including Director of the Renal Pathology Laboratory and Director of the Cellular Imaging Shared Resource, and is an active contributor to the Banff Society for Allograft Pathology. He joins us from Wake Forest University where he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology.
Dr. Mikhailov brings a strong record of research, education, and collaboration, and we are excited to have him join our faculty!
