About

Prima Gurjar earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025, with minors in Medical Anthropology and Chemistry.

During her undergraduate studies, she served as a Teaching Assistant for a Molecular Biology and Genetics course and worked as a Clinical Support Technician at UNC Health. Her passion for genetics and hands-on clinical experience fostered an interest in the intersection of genetics and preventive healthcare.

Currently, Prima is a Research Technician at the UNC School of Medicine’s Department of Genetics. In this position, she contributes to two major initiatives: the Age-Based Genomic Sequencing (ABGS) project and the Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care (PPMH).

Outside of the lab, Prima enjoys visiting local coffee shops, trying out new fitness classes, and cooking new recipes with friends.
