Useful Keyboard Shortcuts for Microsoft Teams

Having difficulty navigating Microsoft Teams? Here are some essential keyboard shortcuts for both Mac and Windows devices that can help you streamline your workflow.

Windows Devices

  1. Show keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + .  Web app: Ctrl + .
    • Quickly view all available keyboard shortcuts within Teams.
  2. Go to Search: Ctrl + E  Web app: Ctrl + Alt + E
    • Jump to the search bar to find messages, files, or people.
  3. Start a new chat: Ctrl + N  Web app: Left Alt + N
    • Open a new chat window to start a conversation with a colleague.
  4. Send a message: Ctrl + Enter  Web app: Ctrl + Enter
    • Send your message without having to click the send button.
  5. Reply to a thread: Ctrl + R  Web app: Alt + Shift + R
    • Quickly reply to a message within a thread.
