ABOUT Caprice Christian Greenberg, MD, MPH

Caprice C. Greenberg, MD, MPH is a tenured Professor of Surgery and the Morgridge Distinguished Chair in Health Services Research at the University of Wisconsin. She is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and a health services researcher focused on improving patient safety and quality of care. She completed a general surgery residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Masters of Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, as well as a surgical oncology fellowship at the Partners-Dana Farber Cancer Center. Following her clinical and research fellowship training, she joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2007. She was recruited to the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011 to serve as Director for the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program, where she has also served as the Vice Chair of Research.  While in Wisconsin, she has developed the Surgical Collaborative of Wisconsin and the Academy for Surgical Coaching.  Dr. Greenberg has served as Recorder and President of the Association for Academic Surgery and President of the Surgical Outcomes Club, which she helped to found.

 

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 2020 Nathan A. Womack Surgical Society Research Day scheduled to take place on Friday, June 12 at the Koury Oral Health Sciences Building.

Previously presented abstracts/posters are acceptable. Case reports are not acceptable. Mandatory attendance and participation with abstract submission is asked of all residents. Submissions from fellows and medical students are also encouraged and welcomed.

Abstracts must be less than 3000 characters including spaces. Top-ranked abstract submissions will be selected for oral presentations. Applicants selected for oral presentations will be informed by late May. Prizes will be awarded for the top oral and poster (basic science and clinical) presentations.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the online submission formThe deadline for submission is Sunday, May 10th by 11:59 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
