About the Award

In honor of the late Christina Manthos, MD, a remarkable young urologist whose life and career were tragically affected by breast cancer, the Society of Women in Urology (SWIU) has created the Christina Manthos Mentoring Award. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon individuals, regardless of gender, who exhibit exceptional mentoring abilities in their unwavering support of female urologists. This annual award aims to immortalize Christina’s inspiring legacy while promoting the significance of mentors in the professional lives of women.
