UNC Urology is proud to announce the successful match of Dr. Jennifer Griffith into our 2026–2027 Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS) Fellowship, following the national GURS match.

A current urology resident at the University of South Florida Health/Morsani College of Medicine, Dr. Griffith is bringing an impressive foundation of clinical training, academic achievement, and a demonstrated passion for service to Chapel Hill next year. Her academic journey—from earning her BS in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida with Magna Cum Laude distinction to completing her medical degree at Morsani College of Medicine—reflects a consistent commitment to excellence.

Dr. Griffith’s scholarly work includes research on urinary incontinence in men treated for prostate cancer, with publications in AME Medical Journal, Urology Case Reports, and The American Surgeon. Her current projects focus on the management of complex reconstructive urologic cases and gender-affirming surgical care, further strengthening her foundation in this highly specialized field.

Throughout her training, Dr. Griffith has demonstrated dedication beyond the clinic. She has been actively involved in global health initiatives, including medical service trips to Haiti, Guatemala, and Rwanda, as well as long-standing volunteer work addressing homelessness in her home state of Florida. Her broad experiences align with UNC Urology’s values of patient-centered care, innovation, and service.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Griffith to UNC and look forward to the skill, compassion, and fresh perspective she will bring to our GURS fellowship and department.
