Congratulations to UNC Urology Resident Mark Ehlers, MD on his recent induction into the UNC Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA).

Annually, residents across UNC Health are nominated for membership by existing voting members of the AOA and emphasizes the criteria of academic achievement, leadership, professionalism, and service. For residents, special attention is given to commitment and excellence in the teaching of medical students.

Dr. Ehlers was also awarded the 2019 Robert C. Cefalo House Officer Awards for exemplary service to patients and families, professional performance, and compassionate patient care.

UNC’s chapter of AOA was founded in 1954 and is proud to induct new medical students, residents, alumni, and faculty into the chapter each year.
