Congratulations to Dr. Ibardo A. Zambrano, who has been selected to participate in the Methods in Clinical Urology Research (MCURe) Workshop that will be held virtually July 25-27.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the AUA and Duke University and its goal is to help urologists design, implement and move ideas for clinical trials forward with the ultimate goal of advancing patient care across the spectrum of benign and oncological diseases and conditions.

The curriculum consists of asynchronous educational modules and mentoring, as well as small group protocol review groups led by Senior Scientific Advisors. Selected participants plan to continue or enter a career track that will ultimately allow them to be clinical trial principal investigators or site investigators.

“I am excited to participate in the inaugural MCURe Workshop. The value in the MCURe curriculum for me includes real-time feedback from urologic surgeons, and the opportunity to meet potential future mentors and collaborators. I am looking forward to expanding my network this academic year beyond UNC and the MCURe will serve without a doubt as a catalyst in laying the foundation for the academic career I have hoped and planned for.”
