Edit a Cell

Content from a Cell cannot be edited directly on the page where it’s displayed. All changes must be made within the Cells plugin, where the content resides.

Follow these steps to edit a Cell:

  1. Identify the Cell ID

    1. If you need to update a Cell used on a page, first edit the page to obtain the Cell ID number.
    2. The ID appears inside the shortcode.
    3. Example, in [somcells cell_id=1057], the ID is 1057.
  2. Open the Cells Plugin
    1. From the WordPress Dashboard or admin bar, select Cells to open the plugin interface.

  3. Locate the Cell: In the list of all Cells, find the one you want to edit by ID number or Cell name. Tip: Assigning descriptive names to Cells makes them easier to find later.
  4. Access Cell Content and Settings: Click the Cell’s title to expand it and reveal its content and settings.
  5. Make and Save Changes: Edit the Cell content as needed, then click Update to save your changes.
