Transgenic Generation

To generate a transgenic line:

  1. Prepare tools
    1. Identify the promoter for the gene of interest using standard molecular biology techniques
    2. Clone promoter upstream of a reporter

      (fluorescent protein or other reporter) using Tol2 kit

  2. Make mosaic fish using Tol2 transposase kit
  3. Evaluate expression pattern in F1 fish
