Summary Statement:
Dr. DeSelm recently retired as an Associate Professor in the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine after 32 years of clinical practice, in both academic and private settings . Interests within EM included being the SOM DEI EM Liaison, Educational Committee, Career Advising, and EM Coaching team. Her UNC SOM passions include being a college advisor for 11 years, teaching PCC, being on the Admissions and Professionalism Committees, and is very excited to teach in the new CBL curriculum. She lives with her spouse of 30 years and 2 lab puppies. She admires the independence of her 2 grown children, but wishes they lived closer!
