Amanda E. Bennett, M.D., M.P.H. is Associate Chief and Director of Autism Services for the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She leads CHOP’s Autism Integrated Care Committee, a collaborative team of specialists leading efforts to improve access to high quality assessments and care for autistic children and youth, and she serves as Medical Director of the Center for Autism Research at CHOP and collaborates on multiple studies investigating biomarkers of and clinical interventions for autistic individuals and their families. She is the site leader for CHOP’s participation in the Autism Care Network and directs CHOP’s ECHO Autism tele-mentoring program. Clinically, Dr. Bennett provides diagnostic evaluations and ongoing follow-up care to children with ASD and Fragile X Syndrome.

She received her medical degree at Marshall University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Jefferson Medical College/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Bennett completed her fellowship training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at CHOP in 2008 and earned a Masters in Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 while completing fellowship training.
