Edmund earned his B.A. in Psychology at Emory University in 2009 and his M.A. in Education specializing in the Learning Sciences at the University of Delaware in 2014. He worked as a research coordinator in a spatial cognition laboratory at Emory for three years prior to attending graduate school at the University of Delaware (UD). While at UD, his research focused on cognitive and math-related predictors of students’ fraction knowledge with a focus on proportional reasoning. His research interests include child development and developmental disabilities as related to language and mathematics. When Edmund is not working on the Middle School Writing Project, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and two dogs. He also enjoys cooking (especially BBQ-ing), hiking, camping, and playing soccer.
