McLendon-Thomas Award Submission Deadline

Purpose
To encourage interest and recognize scholarship in the history of medicine, the McLendon-Thomas Award in the History of Medicine, with a prize of $500, will be given annually for the best unpublished essay on an historical topic in the health sciences.
Eligibility
Any current student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill may submit an essay. Prior winners are not eligible.
Format
The essay may address any aspect of the history of the health sciences and should be 3000-5000 words in length.
Judging
Faculty advisors of the Bullitt History of Medicine of Club will assemble a team of faculty members from various departments to judge the scholarship and quality of the submissions. The winner will be encouraged to present the essay at a program of the Bullitt Club.
Submissions
Entries must be submitted on or before September 28th, 2018.
