The Office of AIDS Research (OAR) in collaboration with NIH Institutes and Offices has announced the dates for their upcoming Office Hours for ECIs in HIV Research:
- Friday, March 27 (1pm-4pm ET); Register by 5pm ET on Thursday, March 26.
- Monday, April 6 (2pm-4pm ET); Register by 5pm ET on Sunday, April 5.
- Wednesday, April 8 (2pm-4pm ET); Register by 5pm ET on Tuesday, April 7.
- Friday, April 10 (1pm-4pm ET); Register by 5pm ET on Thursday April 9.
These 30-minute one-on-one (1:1) appointments with NIH Program Officers (PO) are reserved exclusively for ECIs who intend to submit an application in 2026.
You qualify as an Early Career Investigator (ECI) if any of the following apply:
- You are an NIH Early Stage Investigator (ESI); or
- You have not yet received an R01 or R01-equivalent award; or
- You are within the first 2 years of your first R01 or R01-equivalent award
Important details:
- Please reserve only one 30-minute appointment slot.
- Meeting links will be sent separately to confirmed registrants.
- Come prepared with an abstract or specific aims for discussion.
- Registration is first-come, first-served. Registration deadline is 5pm ET on the day before the scheduled office hours.
