About
Rebecca is a PhD candidate in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her undergraduate studies, she majored in Biostatistics and Chemistry, and did research in the Bowles Center for alcohol studies, which focused on the effect of transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory proteins (TARPs) on alcohol addiction. Since beginning the doctorate program, she has focused on her coursework and been a teaching assistant for BIOS 512, an introductory course in R. Areas of interest include survival analysis, genomic data analysis, clinical trials, and study design. Topics of interest include substance abuse, mental health, neuroscience, drug delivery systems, and epidemiology.
