Please join us in congratulating Matthew Egberg, MD, MPH, the recipient of the IQVIA Pediatric Clinical Scholars Award! This award is part of the CRI’s Research Grant Initiative and was funded by IQVIA, which integrates advances in data science and technology with human science expertise to help people in healthcare make better decisions and advance human health. This grant supports an early career clinical investigator focused on the advancement of children’s health through the development of new treatments.
Dr. Egberg’s proposal, “Using Precision Medicine To Optimize Postoperative Outcomes For Children with Crohn’s Disease” will be characterizing the natural history of postoperative pediatric Crohn’s Disease, studying the effects of postoperative Tumor Necrosis Factor antibodies and identifying risk factors for recurrence of disease and repeat surgery.
