Dr. Retsch-Bogart is a pediatric pulmonologist with expertise in complex airway disorders, including congenital and acquired airway obstructions and cystic fibrosis (CF). His research interests include:

  • Identifying new options for treatment of CF, such as the development of antimicrobial agents and Cystic Fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulator therapies aimed at specific CF gene mutations.
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in CF patients, including new ways to quickly eradicate newly acquired infections and to identify factors with effect its acquisition and persistence.
