Assistant Professor, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Jackie Patterson is a neonatologist and implementation scientist with expertise in technology-based interventions to reduce perinatal mortality in low and lower-middle income countries. Her particular research emphasis is on newborn resuscitation at birth, with research in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, India and Zambia. In collaboration with foundational, federal and university funders, Dr. Patterson’s primary work investigates strategies to improve clinical performance of basic resuscitation through real-time guidance and debriefing with innovative mobile health technology.
