HOPE NC: Creating Inclusive Housing Options for Adults with I/DD

This presentation unpacks NC’s 2023 adult guardianship law (SL2023-124) that requires the consideration of less restrictive alternatives (LRAs) before petitioning for guardianship. Participants will learn ways to assist self-advocates, families, and professionals in understanding LRA through tools, resources and strategies provided by the Rethinking Guardianship website.
