In April 2025, the Respiratory TRACTS Core (Marsico Lung Institute) was awarded an NCBC Innovation Impact Grant to purchase the Olink Signature 100 equipment, which will facilitate the core offering Olink NGS-based proteomics services to UNC Chapel Hill as a core service. Additionally, the core received institutional support funds from the UNC SOM Core Facility Advocacy Committee. CFAC additionally provided funds for method development on this technology. This method development and equipment purchase will allow the core to offer Olink Focus, Flex, and Target panels and, in collaboration with the High-Throughput Sequencing Facility, Olink Reveal panels.
