Congratulations to our own Chris Gregory, Director in the Office of Research Technologies, who co-authored this publication. In 2017, the Association of Biomedical Research Facilities (ABRF) launched an initiative to specifically support rigor, reproducibility, and transparency (RR&T) in research within core facilities alongside NIH and NSF efforts more broadly. This new paper looks at the effectiveness of ABRF’s initiative through a follow-up survey launched in 2021 and offers some specific guidelines and templates for continuous improvement of RR&T efforts more broadly.
UNC’s website and RR&T statement templates are offered as resources to the entire community of core facilities worldwide in order to improve RR&T efforts at other institutions.
