The UNC CVI is proud to announce the recipient of our 2021 Developmental Research Program. Taylor B. Poston, PhD, MPH, a postdoctoral trainee in the lab of Toni Darville, MD, was selected for a second year of funding for his project, “Boosting Natural CD4 T Cell Immunity to Chlamydia with Novel Vaccines.” This project will investigate immunization strategies and immune mechanisms that could lead to protection from re-infection to help advance vaccine development. Congratulations, Taylor!
Funds from the Developmental Research Program are available for post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty investigators interested in STD research to generate preliminary data that could be applied towards future competitive federal funding.
