On a weekend afternoon you can find me…
chasing after my 2 young boys (and now with my new infant daughter in hand) at the playground, picking up “fur tumbleweed” from my 2 Shelties, spending time with family in Raleigh or Wilmington, or trying my hand at novice gardening (not sure how well that’s going, but we do have a few perennials growing back in their 2nd season so fingers crossed); my dream weekend would entail getting back into horseback riding, having some chickens and goats and living the “farm life” I enjoyed growing up. I do try to study on weekends, too.
the “quaint small town feel” with super kind, smart people with proximity to a larger metropolitan area (RTP), a great airport (RDU) and a diverse community; there’s something just so special about being in Chapel Hill and the liveliness that comes form the college campus but also the intellect that it attracts, both within medicine and in other fields as well; nothing like listening to James Taylor’s “Carolina in My Mind” while driving down Franklin Street on a warm Spring day.
