Rheumatologic Dermatology
UNC’s Rheumatologic Dermatology clinic offers specialized care to patients with severe cases of non-blistering autoimmune diseases affecting the skin. These disorders include lupus, dermatomyositis, systemic sclerosis, morphea, and vasculitis, among others. Select patients may be able to participate in a multidisciplinary clinic that incorporates experts from dermatology, rheumatology and nephrology into same-day, same-site visits.
Conditions evaluated and treated in UNC’s Rheumatologic Dermatology Clinic include:
- Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus
- Dermatomyositis
- Systemic Sclerosis (also called Scleroderma or CREST Syndrome)
- Morphea
- Systemic or cutaneous vasculitis
