Julianne Cyr (she/her) serves as a Research Instructor within the Department of Emergency Medicine at UNC-CH. Her research interests focus on the prehospital care of patients and implementation of new protocols in Emergency Medical Services. In addition to research, Julianne is also the Director of Student Research. As part of her work within the Department, she created ISHTaR in 2016 and has been running the program each Summer since then. Working with students from high school through medical residency, she finds joy in connecting student learners to the best research opportunities. In addition to being a member of UNC’s faculty, Julianne is also a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University where she is working on her Doctor of Public Health degree in Implementation Science. In her free time, she loves hiking, crafting, cooking, and cats.
