My name is Samara, and I am a rising senior attending Voyager Academy High school. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, and doing various volunteer work around my community. I was initially interested in participating in ISHTaR after learning about all of the amazing opportunities I would have. I have a strong interest in going into the medical field, so after learning about ISHTaR, I thought having the opportunity to shadow different people in the medical field, participating in research, and much more within the emergency medicine department would be greatly beneficial to me. Another reason I was interested in ISHTaR was because of the work experience I would gain and the ability to expand my network. I would encourage anyone interested in going into the medical field or wanting to explore medical careers to apply for this program.
