Jeff Karpicke’s Keynote on Retrieval-based Learning
Retrieval-based Learning: Active Retrieval Promotes Meaningful Learning
In his keynote address, Dr. Jeff Karpicke will provide some background on the research behind retrieval-based learning and share practical suggestions for using this powerful learning strategy to support student learning.
Jeff Karpicke is the James V. Bradley Professor of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. Dr. Karpicke’s research sits at the interface between cognitive science and education. He has authored over 50 publications and received over $11 million in grants from a variety of national institutes and foundations.
