Leadership Starts with Me – A Conversation on Academic Leadership

February 17 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Dr. Carol Bradford, Dean of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and former President of the American Head and Neck Society, invites participants into an open discussion about leadership, resilience, and growth in academic medicine. A true trailblazer—the first woman to lead the Society and a member of the National Academy of Medicine—Dr. Bradford will share honest insights and practical wisdom on how to lead with authenticity, build influence, and find balance along the way.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Objectives: 

  1. Explore practical strategies for emerging leaders to develop their leadership identity early in their careers.
  2. Discuss how to balance competing priorities while building leadership skills in academic medicine.
  3. Address common leadership challenges and provide actionable solutions for faculty and residents.
